Belmont-----Rene Alfred Nadeau, 80, of Arlene Drive passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
Rene was born on October 15, 1937 in Laconia the son of Alfred and Marie (Villenvuve) Nadeau. He was a meat cutter for the Laconia State School and a chef for the multiple offense program.
Rene liked gardening, ice fishing, cutting wood, bird watching in his yard, the ocean, deep-sea fishing, camping at Old Orchard Beach, leaf-peeping and playing canasta games after dinner. He loved most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Barbara (Fitts) Nadeau, of Belmont; two sons, Peter Nadeau and his wife, Carol, of Laconia and Thomas Nadeau and his wife, Cheryl, of Belmont; a daughter, Robin LaCourse and her husband, Gordon, of Gilmanton Iron Works; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Sandra and Pamela; five great-grandchildren, Alexander, Logan, William, Alexandria and Everly; a brother, Andre' Nadeau, and his wife, Rachel, of Belmont; four sisters, Clare Giguere, and her husband, Bob, of Laconia, Jeannette Giguere, of Laconia, Florence Guilmett, of Laconia and Edna Foot, of MA; several nephews and nieces and his dog, Lulu. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Lorraine Labbe and Simone Fortin, his brothers-in-law, Donald Giguere and Art Guilmette and Rene's dog Coco.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 4:30pm - 6:30pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House entrance.
There will be no funeral service.
