In Brockton, November 4, 2017 Eleanor (Costa) Silvia, Age 82, passed away peacefully following a brief illness in Brockton City Hospital. Eleanor was the wife of the late David Silvia. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Antonio & Nellie (Silva) Costa. Eleanor had resided in Berkley all her life. She worked for the Raynham Benny’s for over 40 years as an assistant manager. Eleanor enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, reading and above all cherished her time with family. Eleanor is survived by her loving children, Susan Barbosa and her husband Antonio of Fall River, Donna Bernat of Fall River, David Silvia and his wife Lisa of Berkley and Jeffrey Silvia and his husband Robert of Berkley. Eleanor was preceded in death by her other four siblings and leaves her 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, November 7th at 11 am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Monday from 5-7 pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
