Jeanne E. (Parrott) Skinner, a longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at her home in Charlestown. She was 95 years of age.
Jeanne grew up in Vermont where she attended public school there before moving to the Boston area where she graduated from high school. Jeanne worked for John Hancock Insurance Company as a Cashier and retired after 40 years of dedicated service to the company. She was a member of the Somerville City Club.
Jeanne is the beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Skinner. She is the devoted mother of Lana Mondello and her husband Ray of the North End of Boston, Alan Skinner of the North End of Boston, Larry Skinner and his partner Kathy Gordan and her family of Pembroke and Mark Skinner and his wife Julie of Holbrook. She is the loving Nana Jeanne to 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is the dear friend of the late Janice Hayes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jeanne's Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 9, 2017 in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. A gathering with Jeanne's family will take place in the church at 9 A.M. everyone is welcome to attend. Her burial will be at the Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45 P.M.
