WORCESTER-Scott R Willey Jr, 41 of Worcester entered into eternity on October 31, 2017. His death was sudden and unexpected. Scott attended Doherty High in Worcester, MA and graduated from Bridgeton High school in Bridgeton, NJ.
His life-long passion was music. At the age of 12 he began playing electric guitar and formed the band Massave Convulsions in the early 1990’s in southern NJ. He was happiest howling out lyrics and metal riffs to thousands of mosh pit fans in the Worcester area. In the late 90’s he formed a second band, Zircon. He was best known as lead singer of Vital Remains, touring throughout the US and the world.
He was predeceased by his father Scott R Willey of Worcester and is survived by his mother Zoe E Moore of Bridgeton, NJ, brother Stewart Willey of Bridgeton NJ, brother Stephen Willey of Groton, NY and brother Shandon Willey and sister in law Angelica Willey of Cherry Hill, NJ, along with several nieces and nephews, Caleb Willey, Mya, Jayden, Saydee, Jada, Ethan and Layla , His Aunt Dhami Arkin, cousins Artrina, Archie, Daniel, Mary, Joshua and Johnathan Mason and his beautiful black Persian cat Lou.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 6 at 3:30 pm at CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street.
Visiting Hours will also be held on Monday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be in Mount Rest Cemetery in Athens, Maine on Tuesday.
