Julia Lynetta “Lynn” Craig Avery McLean, 53, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Steve Luke officiating. Mrs. McLean will be laid to rest at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Eldorado. The family will receive friends Monday, November 6, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. McLean’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born July 14, 1964 in Tifton, Mrs. McLean was the daughter of the late James Conley Craig, Jr. and Katie Lee Orrick Craig. She was preceded in death by one son, Timmy Ray McLean; and one sister, Martha L. Lee. Before retiring, she worked at J. P. Stevens and was a member of Saving Grace Ministries in Tifton. She loved flowers and sewing quilts and had lived in Tifton all of her life.
Mrs. McLean is survived by her husband, Ray McLean of Tifton; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Craig Avery of Nokomis, FL, Conley Avery of Tifton, James Robert McLean of Ty Ty and Tommy Ray and Jenna McLean of Tifton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clinton and Ranie Craig and Elijah and Tracy Craig, all of Tifton; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jean Simpson and Sara Lucas, both of Tifton, Clara Sue Craig and Jimmie Cay Goddard and husband Jimmy, all of Enigma and Alice and Jim Barrentine of Savannah; and eight grandchildren.
