Obituary

Natick: Michael S. Mega, 83, died peacefully on November 1, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham.
He was born in Palmer, MA on May 27, 1934 the son of the late Michael and Stephanie (Jajuja) Mega. Beloved husband of the late Marion J. (Glidden) Mega who died in 1999. Loving father of Jeffrey M. Mega and his wife Lisa of Sherman, TX; Christopher A. Mega and his wife Diane of Meredith, NH; Lisa M. Jacobsen and her husband Thomas of Longwood, FL and Scott T. Mega and his wife Susan of Natick. Brother of Fred Mega and his wife Sue of Palmer and Dottie D’Errico of Hull. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Michael was an accomplished musician and educator and devoted to teaching students of all ages both as a music teacher in the public school system as well as in private lessons for many years. His musical resume includes playing for 3 Presidents during their inaugurations in Washington D.C. as a member of the United States Air Force, the Boston Pops, the Boston Symphony, the Worcester Orchestra, the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra, private events, many well-known singers and countless Broadway and theater productions.
Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 8:30 am at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte. 30), Wayland followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 o’clock at St. Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street (Rte. 135), Natick.
Interment to follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Natick.
