Richard Donald Wright, 76, of Bradenton, FL and formerly of Natick, died Sunday, October 22, 2017. He was the husband of Bonnie (Trainor) Wright and former husband of the late Jane (Kadlik) Wright who died in 2003. He was the beloved son of the late William and Emily (Bismarck) Wright.
Mr. Wright was employed for over 30 years at the General Motors Plant in Framingham.
He was a graduate of Natick High School, Class of 1959 and a proud Veteran of United States Navy.
Richard cherished his family, especially the grandchildren, and enjoyed taking them on camping trips. He enjoyed golfing, going to the beach, and in retired years became a Hospital Chaplain in the Palmetto and Bradenton area helping Veterans and their families in need.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, Richard D. Wright Jr and his wife Kim Napoleon of Bradenton FL, Cyndi Wright and her husband Ronnie Johnson of Natick, Michael J. Wright and his wife Jennifer of Marlborough, his brother Robert Wright and his wife Helen of New Port Richey, FL, his sister Faye Comardo and her husband Tony of Cohasset, grandchildren, Crystal Rogal and her husband Alex, Tommy Wright, Andrew Lacause Wright, Michael Wright Jr, Nicholas Wright, two great grandchildren Brody and Emerson Rogal, sister in law Rosemary Wright of Falmouth, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late William Wright.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Service of Remembrance on Monday, November 13th at 11:30 A.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common.
Burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery.
