Nicole L. Edwards, 40, of New Bedford passed away suddenly on Wednesday November 1, 2017. She was the wife and best friend of Shawn P. DeVincentis.
Born in Barnstable, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Nicole was currently employed as an aftercare teacher at St. James - St. John School in New Bedford. She was devoted to her whole family, friends and to the children of St James - St. John School.
Nicole is survived by her husband Shawn; her sons, Sheldon Terrik DeVincentis and Hunter Gabriel DeVincentis; her mother, Rita (Alves) Casey of New Bedford; her stepmother, Candy Kearney of Taunton; her siblings, Joyce Green and her husband William of New Bedford, Tina Edwards-White and her husband Gary of West Virginia, William Edwards and his wife Tammy of Hyannis, and Brandi Edwards of New Bedford; her stepsister, Erika Rose of Rhode Island; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was the daughter of the late Paul Kearney.
Her visitation will be held on Monday November 6, 2017 from 3-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. A celebration of life gathering will be held for Nicole and published on Facebook once a date and time has been determined by the family.
