Mike Trum, age 80, died on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in his home in West Palm Beach, FL.
Bernard Michael Trum was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on August 8, 1937, to Dr. Bernard Francis Trum & his wife Mary Marguerite Moroney Trum while stationed at Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Moving frequently, Mike spent time in Fort Robinson, NE, San Angelo, TX, Front Royal, VA, Cochabamba, Bolivia and Oak Ridge, TN.
During WW II, Mike lived near his grandparents in Natick, MA, and was a member of the Squash End Gang. Mike attended high school in Oak Ridge, TN, but spent his summers back in Sherborn working as a lifeguard at Farm Pond. While serving in the US Army, he was a member of the US Biathlon Team. Mike attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL, and finished his degree at Boston University. He and his then wife, Linda Mills Trum, and their two children were pioneers in the urban redevelopment of Boston's South End until 1981.
He then moved back to Sherborn, MA, where he was a charter member of the Sherborn Yacht Club. He was a lifelong sports enthusiast and outdoorsman, working for many years in the sporting goods industry. After retirement, he relocated to West Palm Beach, FL in 2010.
Mike is survived by his three siblings, John M. Trum (Maria Grazia) of Caracas, Venezuela; Margaret Trum Golibersuch (Robert) of Columbia, MD; and Elizabeth Trum Ham (Eugene) of Sherborn, MA; two children, Adrianne Trum Frankel (Kenneth) of Sherborn, MA and Eric Andrew Trum (Amanda Streeter) of Helena, MT; and four grandchildren. He also leaves behind many friends in Massachusetts and Florida, including his most dear friend, Marion Dettbarn.

Funeral services at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, at NATICK COMMON, on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at 9:00 AM, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Theresa's Church, 35 South Main Street, Sherborn, at 10:00 AM.
Interment services will follow at the Pine Hill Cemetery, Cemetery Lane, Sherborn.
