Lucille A. (Tierney) Castonguay, 87, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Grosvenor Park Healthcare following a brief illness. She was he devoted wife of the late John A. Castonguay, with whom she had shared 48 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Stephen J. and Irene M. (Jeffery) Tierney.
Lucille was a lifelong resident of Salem. For many years she worked in sales for Edmond P. Madore Jewelers in Salem. With the closing of the Madore store, Lucille worked for the retail clothing store Hit or Miss in Beverly. She was a long time member of Ste. Anne Parish of Salem.
A kind and caring person, Lucille was devoted to her family and her extended family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane M. Castonguay of Salem and many cousins as well as her friend, Leonard A. Colangelo of Salem. She was the sister of the late Rev. Richard S. Tierney.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem to be followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
