Edward J. McDermott, age 87, of Natick, died on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at The Elms in Westerly, RI.
He was the devoted husband of the late Mary L. McDermott for 64 years. Mary died on March 3, 2017.
Ed was a graduate of Natick High School, class of 1948 and married four years later. He was an electrician and an IBEW local 103 member for 69 years. He served in the Army National
Guard from 1949 until 1957. He enjoyed working on home projects and spending time with his family. He also liked the outdoors, fishing, boating, football and exercising.
Ed is survived by his son Mark and his wife June, daughter Ann and two grandsons, Matthew and his wife Nicole and Jonathan.
Ed was also the father of the late Kevin P. McDermott and brother of the late John McDermott.
Funeral and Interment Services will be private.
