Diamantina do Rego, age 89, of Fall River, passed away on Monday October 30, 2017. Born in Capellas, Sao Miguel, Acores she was the daughter of the late Francisco do Rego and Christina Cabral and wife of the late Jose do Rego. She loved gardening, watching her soaps, cooking for her family and caring for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Joao do Rego, Jose Sousa, Luis Sousa, Maria Rogue, Maria Silva, Fatima Rego, and Natalia Amaral, brother Joao Cabral, 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Alfred do Rego Cabral, Francisco do Rego, Maria Borges, and Maria de Jesus Silva.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Wednesday from 4-7 P.M.
