Janet E. (Corbett) Martin, 86, of Natick, died peacefully after complications from a long illness, on Friday, October 27, 2017, surrounded by loving family.
She was a life long resident of Natick and Valedictorian of Natick High, Class of 1948. She was an avid gardener and member of the Mass Horticultural Society.
Janet was the daughter of the late Donald L. Corbett and Isobel (Maxwell) Corbett and the cherished sister of the late Leslie M. Corbett and his wife Mary (Leacu) Corbett.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gene R. Martin, dedicated mother of Jane Martin of New York, Lorna Thompson of Natick, David Martin and his wife Dona of Bellingham and grandmother of Craig Thompson and wife Lisa of Medway, Mark Thompson and his fiancee Sarah of Natick, David Martin of Milford, Brendan Martin of North Carolina and loving great-grandmother to Dylan Thompson.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life beginning at 10:00 AM on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2017 at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON, with a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at the Dell Park Cemetery, Pond Street, Natick.
