Susan A. (Hurd) Healy, 56, of Franklin, died October 29 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Mark F. Healy for the past 36 years.
Born in Norwood, April 22, 1961, the daughter of the late Richard F. and Alberta (Pedersen) Hurd, Mrs. Healy was a lifelong Franklin resident.
She was a 1979 graduate of Franklin High School and a graduate of the Henry O. Peabody School in Norwood where she obtained her Associates degree as a License Practical Nurse.
Susan had worked for 16 years at Norwood Hospital. She also had worked for S.W. Gastro/Dr. Joseph Perrotto in Norwood for over 25 years and for Medical Billing Associates of Norwood for 10 years.
Susan loved her shopping trips on Saturday’s with her sisters. Spending time with her family was the part of life which she enjoyed the most.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons, Mark J. Healy and his wife Roselle of Cumberland, Rhode Island and Michael R. Healy of Franklin.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Wesley, Dante, Kayden and Amelia.
Susan also is survived by her sisters Robin LaRosa of Franklin, Tina Masinda of Norfolk and Lori Berdos of Bellingham, as well as a large extended family.
Susan also leaves many friends including her best friends, Lia Thomas and Denise Harland.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, November 2nd from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
