Mary E. Gendice, 81, of Putnam Pike, Greenville, died Thursday. She was the wife of the late Nicolas Gendice.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Bernadine McGinnis. She had lived in Smithfield for 2 years previously living in Cranston. She had been a direct care giver with ReFocus.
She leaves her children, Nicole Lavallee and her husband Philip Larkin of Greenville, Michael T. DiCarlo and his wife Elizabeth Kolakowski of Warwick, her grandchildren, Celine Lavallee, Zara DiCarlo and Henry Kolakowski, her brother Jackie Gardiner and his wife Barbara of Orlando, FL. She was the sister of the late Teddy Gardiner, Jean Fortarezzo and Marjorie Milone.
Her Funeral will be held Wednesday at 11am in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Greenville. Visitation Wednesday 10-11am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ReFocus, 45 Greely Street, Providence, RI 02904.
