Obituary

In Fall River, October 27, 2017 Edward “Rocky” Rose of Taunton died peacefully while surrounded by his loving family in Charlton Memorial Hospital at the age of 65. Edward is survived by his wife of 36 years Debra Faria of Taunton. He was born in Taunton, the son of George Rose and his late mother Mae (Jones) Rose. Edward worked as a tractor trailer driver. He served his country while in the U.S. Marine Corp. He enjoyed working on cars, driving his tractor trailer, boxing, fishing, Seekonk Speedway, country music, his dog Trot and being with family, especially his grandson Tyler, taking him to baseball games, horse shows, car shows where he learned about Papa’s favorite car the 55 Chevy. He leaves behind his children, Jennifer Rose and her late fiancée Patrick Avitabile of Taunton, Heather and husband Kevin Brito of New Bedford, Linda Rose, Jason Faria and his wife Caitlyn of ME and Derek Faria and his wife Sharon of NH. Edward leaves his siblings, his devoted Irish twin sister Carol Rousseau of Raynham, Stephen Rose of Taunton, and the late George Rose and Linda Rose. He also leaves many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Funeral services are private at the request of the family.
