Obituary

Arthur R. Laramee, Jr., 87, of Woonsocket died Thursday October 26, 2017 at The Friendly Home. He was the loving husband of the late Madeleine (Brodeur) Laramee.
A lifelong resident of Woonsocket he was a graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy class of 1947.
Mr. Laramee worked at Fatima Hospital and later Butler Hospital for many years before retiring.
Arthur was a member of the St. Joseph Senior citizens and Golden Hearts Club and was a former member of Knights of Columbus Woonsocket Council # 113.
Arthur played a good hand of cards, tried his hand at bingo and the casinos and belonged to several pitch leagues. He was a dedicated Red Sox and Patriots fan. Most of all Arthur loved to be with his family especially on many memorable family gatherings at Spring Lake and the camp.
He is survived by two sons Ronald Laramee of Woonsocket and Marc Laramee and his wife Michelle of Mapleville, two daughters Jacqueline Larmaee of Woonsocket and Diane Gelinas and her husband Edward of Glendale. He was the brother of Yvette Boulay of Cumberland. He is also survived by his grandchildren Timothy and his wife Corinne, Jacob and Emily Gelinas and Tyler, Nathan and Cameron Laramee. Arthur was the companion of over 15 years of the late Anna Lesowski.
His funeral will be Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-7pm.
