In Boston, October 26, 2017, J.W. LeRoy “Roy” Latimer beloved husband of Patricia (Murphy) Latimer died at Faulkner Hospital in Boston at the age of 75. Born in Dighton, Roy was the son of the late John and Helen (Welch) Latimer. Roy was a graduate from North Carolina State with a bachelor’s degree in business management. His second degree was from the Boston Architectural Center. He was a retired Architect and co owner of Latimer and Lawson Assoc in Taunton. Roy was the past president of the Taunton Chamber of Commerce and the Taunton Rotary Club. A former member of Segregansett Country Club he also was on the Zoning Board of Appeals in Raynham. Roy loved going to his home in East Falmouth, He also enjoyed golf, landscaping around his home and especially spending time with his family. Roy was the loving father of Kathryn Latimer of Raynham and Caroline Haviland and her husband Bill of North Attleboro. Grandfather of William and Patrick Haviland both of North Attleboro. Brother of June Lawson and her husband Tom of Maryland, Ann Howe of Falmouth and Kathy Mello and her husband Tony of Falmouth. Uncle of four loving nieces. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Monday, October 30th at 8:45 am. A Mass will be held at St Ann’s Church in Raynham at 10 am. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-6:30 pm. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations in Roy’s memory may be made to the Raynham Fire Dept, 37 Orchard Street, Raynham, Ma, 02767.
