PORTER- Ricky A. Chenette, age 59, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Oct. 24, 2017.
He was born on Oct. 23, 1958, a child of the late Arthur and Lela (Blaisdell) Chenette.
He was the husband of Donna (Dumont) Chenette who he married on July 11, 1981. They spent 36 ½ wonderful loving years together. In August of 1979 their love story began. Love at first sight happened. Their hearts and souls became one. Throughout all the ups and downs, Ricky was tough and kept strong.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and was a boat builder for 24 years at Eastern Boat Works.
He is survived by his wife- Donna; four amazing children- Derick Chenette of Porter, Darren Chenette and his wife Rachel of NY, Dianna Chenette and her fiance Walter Lockette of Detroit, MI, and Duane Chenette of Lebanon; six grandchildren; four sisters- Rosemarie, Sherry, Steve, Lori, and Margie; and a brother- Rodney.
Ricky was a loving father, and amazing friend.
Most of all, he was the true love of his wife Donna.
“I will miss you, and will forever be in my heart” - Donna.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 1 PM at his sister's home, 37 Post Ridge Road in Hiram.
