NEW BEDFORD - Joyce "Joy" M. Bancroft, 90, wife of the late William C. Bancroft to whom she was married to for 64 years, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Elayne (McKinsey) Mathiesen.
Born in San Jose, CA. she was a lifelong resident of the New Bedford area.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Church Women and the Greater New Bedford Garden Club.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Elayne (Paul) Santos of Fairhaven, Dyan (late Glenn) Martin of New Bedford, and Lori (Edward) Pequita of Woodstock, GA. 1 son: Daniel (Kimberly)Bancroft of New Bedford and grandchildren Adam & Tabitha Santos, Ariane & Abram Martin, Joshua Mattos & Amique Hatten along with 8 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Grace Episcopal Church, 422 County St. New Bedford, on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 at 10 AM Arrangements are by the Wilson Chapel 479 County St. New Bedford, Ma.
