In New Bedford, Michael R. Colpitts, Age 69, passed away on October 23, 2017 in St. Luke’s Hospital following a brief period of failing health. Michael was born in Taunton, the son of the late Arnold J. & Evelyn (Rice) Colpitts. Michael was a resident of New Bedford and was formerly of Raynham. He attended St. Mary's Elementary School and was a graduate of Bridgewater Raynham Regional High School and attended both Cape Cod Community College and Johnson and Wale College. Michael enjoyed computers, politics, robotics, science fiction and spending time with his family. He is survived by his siblings, Jean Feinschreiber of Norton and Norman Colpitts and his wife Susan of Norfolk, VA. He also leaves his four nieces and one nephew. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours prior to the service from 10-11am. Burial will be in the family lot in Fox Cemetery in Berkley.
