Marcelle M. (Veilleux) Mayotte, age 81, passed away on Oct 21, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in St Raphael, Quebec, Canada on May 20, 1936 to the late Dr. Joseph Odelon and Marie Anne (Gamache) Veilleux. Marcelle graduated from Hotel-Dieu de Levi’s Nursing School and worked as a Registered Nurse in Canada for many years before moving to Chicopee and working for Baystate Medical Center. Marcelle enjoyed traveling especially with her family to Aruba. She leaves her loving husband Raymond F. Mayotte of Chicopee; 2 daughters, Judith Maylott and her husband Jonathan of Somers, CT and Karen Beaulieu and her life partner David Huber of Chicopee; 1 grandson Nicholas Beaulieu her “Poopie`”; 2 sisters, Celine Caron of Canada and Brigitte Vernon and her husband George Sr. of Colchester, VT; 5 brothers, Marc Andre Veilleux and his companion Nicole, Paul Veilleux and his wife Jacinthe, Bernard Veilleux, Benoit Veilleux and his wife Johanne Lemelin and Denis Veilleux and his wife Johanne Allaire all of Canada. She was predeceased by 4 sisters, Suzanne Remillard, Marie-Clothilde Veilleux, Therese Veilleux, Veronique Menard and 2 brothers Pierre Veilleux and Jean Marie Veilleux. A Funeral Service will be held on Tues, Oct. 31, 2017 at 9:45 AM from the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee with a Mass of Christian Burial to take place at 11:00 AM at St Rose de Lima Church.
