Peter C. Wainio, 67, of Carver died October 19, 2017 at Tobey Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Wareham, the son of the late Waino E. and Pearl F. (Jackson) Wainio, he lived in Carver most of his life.
He was formerly employed by the family business, Wainio Bogs, Inc. in Carver.
He enjoyed collecting coins.
Survivors include his 2 daughters, Nadine Parsons and Angela Furey, both of New Bedford; 3 brothers, David Wainio and Herbert Wainio, both of Carver and Richard Wainio of Wareham; 3 grandchildren, Aisha-Pearl Hammer, Alexandria Furey and Marlayna Parsons; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the grandfather of the late Robert Young and the brother of the late Jack Wainio.
His Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 27th at 10 AM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA 02532. A reception will follow at the Dudley Brown VFW, 4 Gibbs Ball Park Rd., Onset.
