SOMERSET – Mary T. Souza, age 84 of Somerset, passed away on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Dighton, MA she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Gloria (Simoes) Torres and the wife of the late George B. Souza. Prior to retiring, Mary worked as a Seamstress for Fall River Knitting Mills, was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church, Somerset, loved reading, and was an avid N.E. Sports Fan.
Survivors include her daughter: Maria Crowley (husband James) of Acton, MA; son: David Souza (wife Alma) of Fall River; four grandchildren: Jessica & Jonathan Crowley, Chelsey & Corey Souza; siblings: Joseph & Raymond Torres, Adeline Guillet, Irene Costa, & Dorothy Torres; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel & Gloria Torres.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, MA on Friday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church, Somerset at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
