DOROTHY MAE (CORUM) MACKEY, 93, of Louisville, passed away, Tuesday, October 24, 2017.
Dorothy was born in Calhoun, Kentucky to the late Harry and Pearl (Kitchens) Corum on September 24, 1924.
Dorothy worked in Food Services for Jefferson County Public Schools for 24 years. She loved to cook. She was a faithful member of Ormsby Heights Baptist.
Preceding her in death were her parents, sisters, Melba Herman, Katherine Dickens, Nina Warren and Ava Corum and her husband of 62 years, Walter E. Mackey, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Walter E. Mackey, Jr. (Suzanne), their children, Lee Ann and Amy; her daughter, Frances D. King (Carl), their children, Keri (Chad) and Jeff (Christy); and her son, John A. Mackey (Harriett), and their son, Alexander (Katelyn). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 3 – 8 p.m. Thursday.
