Carrol B. Simpson, 77, of Tifton passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Ms. Simpson will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Jamie Purvis, Matt Holstead, Brandon Walden, Nick Jewell, Gary Gills and Carlton Riemer will serve as pallbearers.
Born April 7, 1940 in Alabama, Ms. Simpson was the daughter of the late, James Vernon Foreman and Bessie Pearl Tucker Foreman. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gwen Foreman, Buddy Foreman and Lawrence Foreman; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Katherine Maynard, Pat and Joe Parrish and Sharon Foreman; three brothers-in-law, including Thomas Simpson; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Mavis and James Purvis. Before retiring, she worked as a certified nursing assistant. She loved bowling, gardening, fishing, canning and sewing.
Ms. Simpson is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Clinton Wicker of Omega; two sons and daughters-in-law, Curt and Joann Simpson and Tony and Mary Simpson, all of Tifton; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Ron Foreman and Albert Foreman, both of Florida and Aaron and Laura Foreman of Tennessee; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Ronald Mancell and Darlene and Charlie Blevins, all of Florida and Debbie and Rick Scott of Alabama; four grandchildren and their spouses, David and Lori Simpson, Justin and Haley Simpson, Laeken Simpson and Haley Simpson; four great-grandchildren, Aubrey Simpson, Cayden Vickers, Ryder Propes and Alyssa Simpson; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Joe and Janice Simpson and Randall and Mary Simpson, all of Tifton; a sister-in-law, Katie Jean Simpson of Tifton; 27 nieces; 20 nephews; and a very special friend of 40 years, Jeanette Singletary.
