Evans, GA – Koula Pappas Calamas, 100, loving wife of the late Theo P. Calamas, entered into rest on Sunday, October 22, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Vasile Bitere officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
A native of Augusta, Mrs. Calamas was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church where she served with the Ladies Philoptochos Society. Along with her late husband, she was the former owner of Washington Candy Company and Mama Mia’s Restaurant on Broad Street. She loved her family dearly.
Survivors include her son; Jim T. Calamas of Clearwater, FL, daughter; Carol Calamas of Evans, GA, two granddaughters; Christa E. Calamas of Tallahassee, FL, Anne C. Wallace of Palm Harbor, FL, two great grandchildren; Collin Michael Welch, Miranda Anne Wallace.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the Trisagion service beginning at 7:00 PM.
