WAYLAND , Ralph E., 87, of Wayland died peacefully surrounded by his family on October 16, 2017 following a brief period of declining health.
He was born in New York City, NY the son of the late Ludwig G. Wegener and Erna (Vennemeyer) Wegener.
Ralph is survived by his beloved wife Elaine (Berg) Wegener of Wayland. He was the devoted father of Ralph E. Wegener, Jr and his wife Deborah Wegener of Westminster and Suellen Wegener Will and her husband Dave Will of Foxborough. Cherished grandfather of Kyle and Carolynn Will and Derek and Kurt Wegener.
Ralph has been a longtime resident of Wayland and a well-known realtor within the area. He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a First Lieutenant with the United States Army. Ralph also was on several town committees and was a member of the Wayland Business Association.
Private family services and interment were held in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
In lieu of flowers his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Ralph’s memory be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
