Constance L. LaCroix, 90, of Auburn died Sunday, October 22nd in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. Her husband, Charles B. Lacroix, Sr died in 2003. She leaves her son, Charles B. Lacroix, Jr. and his girlfriend, Tina McLellan; and her granddaughter, Nicole M. LaCroix all of Auburn.
She was born in Webster the daughter of Michel and Therese (Ledoux) Dumouchel and graduated from Bartlett High School. Constance was a shoe maker in her earlier years and later worked as a sales clerk at Cummings Clothing Store. She was a former member of St. Joseph’s Church. Constance enjoyed spending time travelling the country with her husband in their motorhome enjoying what the country had to offer as well as time on their boat in Wickford, Rhode Island. Some of Constance’s favorite pastimes were crafting, crocheting and quilt making. The Walton’s was one of her favorite television shows. The time she cherished the most was the time spent at home with her family.
The family would like to thank Lisa Worster, Epic and Elder Services Home Staff for their compassion and care they gave Constance.
Her funeral is Thursday, October 26th with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Elder Services, 67 Millbrook Street #100, Worcester, MA 01606 or to Epic Home Staff, 67 Millbrook Street #401, Worcester, MA 01605.
