Harrison, Joseph Lee, 85, of Louisville died Saturday, October 21, 2017.
Joseph was born in Sweeden, KY to the late Dolly & Ira Harrison. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, Valley Masonic Lodge # 511 & Scottish Rite. He served four years in the U. S. Airforce during Korean War & retired after 33 years from Civil Service as comptroller.
Survivors include his Loving wife of 60 years, Novella (Hawes) Harrison; three children, Laura Ellen Blanton (Travis), Lydia K. Stober (Dennis) & Lillian Van Tilburg (Steven); two brothers, James E. & Scotty R. (Doris) Harrrison; a sister, Betty Lou Gibson (Jr.); eight grandchildren, Aaron Montgomery, Adam Montgomery, Rebecca Simmons, Shelli Ryan, Elizabeth Jones, David Van Tilburg, Mark Blanton and Amanda Van Tilburg; eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy with burial in Bethany Cemetery, Visitation will be 12:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday.
