William Cornelious Garland, age 78, of Chase City, VA, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017. He was born June 17, 1939 in Halifax County, VA to the late Archer Garland and Annie Sue Clark Garland.
He was the Service Manager for Moore’s Chevrolet in Clarksville and a member of Public Fork Christian Church.
William is survived by his wife, Virginia Garland; son, Bill Garland and wife, Donna of Red Oak, VA; daughter, Annette Irby and husband, Jeffrey of Clover, VA; and grandchildren, Brandon Garland, Taylor Garland, Josh Irby, and Kassidy Irby. He is also survived by his brother, Harold Garland of Richmond, VA; sister, Dorothy Brankley of Skipwith, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Public Fork Christian Church. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
