David William Fahy, age 52, of Duxbury, MA departed this life surrounded by his loving family at Beth Israel Deaconess Boston on October 20, 2017. David was a wonderful husband to wife Holly Moffatt Fahy; and a loving and adoring father to Patrick Thomas Fahy and Kaitlin Elizabeth Fahy. He is survived by his loving parents, William Patrick Fahy and Eileen Theresa Fahy.
Dave was born in Boston, MA and grew up in Cohasset with his parents and older brother, Kieran Francis Fahy, older sister, Deirdre Fahy Lane, and younger brother, Brendan Joseph Fahy. He attended Cohasset High School and then went on to graduate from Boston College. He married his loving wife, Holly, in Duxbury on May 4, 1991 and they spent many happy years in Kingston and Duxbury.
Dave had an incredible love for life and for all of his family. He loved the ocean and spent many days on the waters in Duxbury with his family. He was an avid U2 fan attending many concerts over the years. Dave was always the first to offer help and was always there when needed. He enjoyed life; and managed to keep the family always laughing. He had a good heart and a strong moral compass. He will be dearly missed.
Dave was an active family member with the Fahy and Moffatt families. He will be missed by his father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Nancy Moffatt as well as his brother- and sister-in-laws, Peter and Anna Moffatt, Robert and Shira Moffatt, Suzanne and Robert Occhialini; Carol Fahy, Christopher Lane, and Genevieve Cremaldi Fahy.
Dave was the center of the family and is survived by his loving nieces and nephews; Kristin and Jeff Meyer, Meghan Lane, Briana and Keith Tompkins, Kayla Fahy, Genevieve Lane, Rose Fahy, Iris Fahy, Callum Moffatt, Bennett Occhialini, Bode Moffatt, and Reed Occhialini.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St. (rt. 106) in Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at Holy Family Duxbury, 601 Tremont St., at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) at Beth Israel Deaconess, c/o Dr. Duane Pinto, 1 Deaconess Rd, Boston, MA 02215.
