Eleanor A. McCalsky, 64

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Eleanor A. (Weeks) McCalsky, age 64, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the embracing love of her family, on Saturday, October 21, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. McCalsky, to whom she had been wed for thirty-one years.

Born in Quincy, MA on April 8, 1953, she was a loving daughter of the late George and Elinor (Fanning) Weeks.

Eleanor grew up in Quincy and Brockton, and was a 1971 graduate of Brockton High School. She had made her home in Mansfield since 1976 and was the retired proud owner of K & D Auto Body, Inc. in Mansfield, which is still family owned and operated today.

Eleanor’s family was the essence of her life. She loved raising her family, and along with her late husband, they enjoyed flying and traveling together as a family. Her hobbies included stain glass, ceramics, boating, camping, shell fishing, and she will always be remembered for her unconditional love for dogs.

She is survived by her devoted children Kenneth M. McCalsky and his wife Marguerite of North Attleboro and Candice M. McCalsky of Mansfield. She was the adoring grandmother of Angela Wylie, Brittany Wylie, Derek McCalsky, Brayden McCalsky and Dakota McCalsky. She was the dear sister of John Weeks and his wife Carol of Michigan, Linda Charbonneau and her husband Lenny of West Bridgewater, Thomas Weeks of California and the late Ronald Weeks, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and her best friend “George”.

Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday, October 24th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

A funeral service will be held at 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, in the funeral home, at the conclusion of visiting hours. Burial will be held privately at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfied,

In lieu of flowers, Eleanor’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Mansfield Shelter Friends, Inc., P.O. Box 25, Mansfield, MA 02048.
