Obituary

WORCESTER___Rosella B. (Harpin) Ouellette, 92, of Dana Ave. died Sunday Oct. 9 in Saint Francis Home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her husband of 58 years, Henry P. Ouellette died in 1996.

She leaves two sons, Roger H. Ouellette and his wife Rita and Leo P. Ouellette and his wife Barbara all of Worcester; five daughters, Lorraine L. Plonski, Annette B. Greenleaf and Florine V. Ouellette all of Worcester; Evelyn A. Brown and her husband Tommy of Yonkers, NY; and Dianne C. Luperchio and her husband Jimmy of Concord, North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur and Clarinda (Harper) Harpin and has lived here all her life.

Mrs. Ouellette was a spinner for Standard Yarn Co., and worked there 15 years before retiring in the early 1980’s. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and its former Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality. Mrs. Ouellette was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid knitter. Rosella made sweaters and afghans for her grandchildren.

The funeral will be held on Friday October 14 from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 am. in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday October 13 from 6 to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Francis Home, 101 Plantation St., Worcester, Ma., 01604.
