WALSH, John A. Age 85 of Roslindale, passed away peacefully October 19, 2017. Son of the late Mary (Greene) and Edward Walsh, Brother of James of Framingham, William of Milton, Paul of Norwood, Richard of HI, Robert of Canton, Peter of Roslindale, and the Late Francis and Edward. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
John served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Japan. He was a retired social worker for the State of Massachusetts, Division of Guardian Service. Graduate of Boston College. Longtime volunteer for the Mass Hospital School, Canton.
Visiting hours at the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 3-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
