Laconia-----Dorothy Evelyn Neal, 72, of Valley Street, died on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon.
Dorothy was born on February 14, 1945 in Windsor, Vt. the daughter of Douglas C. and Evelyn (Rhoades) MacLeod.
Dorothy was a stitcher for Laconia Shoe Company. She liked fishing, camping, boating, cooking for friends and family, gambling on scratch tickets and playing bingo. Dorothy especially liked to visit the Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine.
Survivors include, a son, Douglas Neal and his wife, Tracy, of Meredith; three daughters, Patricia Morin and her husband, Steven of Gilmanton IW, Suzanne Sepulveda and her husband, George of Ctr. Barnstead and Wendelyn Haskell and her husband, Jerry of Belmont; eleven, grandchildren, Jessica, Mykel, Jacob, Andrew, Craig, Ashlea, Brett, Allyson, Kaitlin, Aymme and Guillermo; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carlton MacLeod, of Belmont and John MacLeod, of Ctr. Barnstead; three sisters, Marcileen Champagne of Meredith, Peggy Normandin of Laconia, Carole Palmer and her husband, Morris of Laconia and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband, Arthur Neal, a granddaughter, Amanda Neal Haskell and an infant sister, Kathleen MacLeod.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Andre Bessette Parish- St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH.
Burial will follow in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia NH.
