Carmen Ruiz Parra, 72, born May 16, 1945 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and resided in Jamaica Plain passed away on October 16, 2017 at the Kaplan House in Danvers, MA after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She is predeceased by her Father Antonio Colon, Step-father Victor Anazagasty, Mother Maria Ruiz Anazagasty, and 5 siblings Antonio, Eliot, Ruben, Michael and Lydia. She is survived by her Husband David Ruiz, Her sons and daughter in-laws Raymond Ramirez and Mary Ramirez, Eddie Parra and Dena Parra, Her Grandchildren, Raymond Ramirez, Victoria Ramirez, Breana Ramirez, William Parra, Antonio Ramirez, and Logan Parra, her great granddaughter Yasmin Castellanos, her nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Carmen migrated here from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to the South End with her son and family to start a better life in the United States. She was a hard working woman with much pride. She had a heart of gold and would lend a helping hand to anyone. Her smile and joy will always be remembered. Rest peacefully, we love you.
Visiting hours at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Tuesday October 24 from 6-9 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Her family will gather again at the funeral home on Wednesday October 25 from 10 am until 11 am before traveling to St. Michael Cemetery for interment services.
