Michael “Macko/Taco” McCarthy
Member of Laborers Union Local 151

TEWKSBURY: Michael “Macko/Taco” McCarthy, age 53, of Tewksbury, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
He was born in Lowell, MA on June 10, 1964.

Michael is survived by his beloved parents, Brenda Boyle and her husband Michael, of Tewksbury, and John McCarthy and his wife Maggie, of Palm Bay, FL; one brother, Mark McCarthy of Lowell, MA; two sisters, Theresa Madore of Methuen, MA, and Julie Kelly of Beverly, MA. Michael was the uncle to Melissa and Jennifer Kelly, Derek Madore, and Scott Sweeney.
He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

Michael will be remembered for his smile, contagious laugh, and desire to make others feel welcomed.

He was a big fan of all New England sports; college and pro alike. He was an avid pool player, and played in the A.P.A. for many years. In addition, he was a proud member of Laborers Union Local 151, and an active member of the Wilmington V.F.W.
Michael will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, Oct. 23 from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452 or online at www.alz.org.

A celebration of Michael’s Life is planned for Saturday, Oct. 28th, from 1-4 p.m. at TJ Calllahan's Pub, 1475 Main Street, Tewksbury.
