Linda Coan Thompson, 60, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 15, 2005 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Bobby Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
Ms. Thompson was born January 17, 1945, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Ernest H. and Dallas Morgan Coan. She lived in the community most of her life and was a 1963 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Ms. Thompson was a former employee of Colony City Finance Company. She was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Thompson is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Wayne & Jana Thompson and Ernest & Melissa Thompson, all of Bowden, GA; 4 grandchildren; one brother: Gaylord Coan of Duluth, GA; two sisters: Edith Mobley of Cullman, AL and Judith Dodd of Spruce Pine, AL. She was preceded in death by a brother, Coy Coan.
