FALL RIVER – Francisco R. do Couto, age 58 of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 15, 2017. Born in Angra do Heiroismo, Teceira, Açores, he was the son of the late Francisco Melo do Couto and the late Maria Candida Melo and the husband of the late Vivian Marie Couto. Francisco was working for Açoreana Chourico Mfg. as a butcher. He was also an avid guitar player for Espirito Santo Church and the Our Lady of Light Band Club. He enjoyed listening and playing Traditional Portuguese Music.
He is survived by his two sons: Francisco Paul Couto and his wife Jessica of Dartmouth and Henrique Couto of Fall River; four grandchildren: Aiden, Ian, Mason, & Henry Jr.; his sister: Maria Conceicão Toste of Fonte do Bastardo, Teceira, Açores; three step-children: Robert S. Tappen Jr. of Chula Vista, CA, Randall S. Tappen of Tiverton, & Robin Tappen Viveiros of Fall River; eight step-grandchildren: Brittany French, Brennen Tappen, Paula Jean French, Alexis Tappen, Sean Tappen, Kasey Tappen, Siena Tappen, and Brantley Tappen; one step-great granddaughter: Jazmyn Rivera, and his close friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend Francisco’s wake on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. with a wake service at 7:00 P.M. in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N.. Main St. Fall River. Cremation to follow.
