Bonnie Jo Gentry, 72, of Mystic, Georgia, died Sunday, October 15, 2017, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Jimmy Black officiating. Interment will follow in Eureka Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Gentry was born February 23, 1945, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Richard Eli Dyess and the late Pauline Fletcher Dyess Duckworth. She was a seamstress and did alterations for Day’s Cleaners and J. Engelmann Ltd. Men’s Store. She also worked from her home sewing for friends and family. Ms. Gentry enjoyed growing flowers and loved her fur babies, Prince and Yo-Yo.
She is survived by her two sons: Dalton Ray Huett, Jr. and his wife Cleo of Cordele and Michael Dwayne Huett & Penny of Hawkinsville; grandchildren: Christopher Ray Huett, Amanda Lynn Huett, Billy David Mills, Doris Lynn Morelock, Jeffery Dwayne Mallard, and Justin Chad Forsyth; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, James & Doris Dyess of Ocilla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Richard Dyess.
