Barbara Joann (Parrish) Hiatt, 77, of Anderson died October 14, 2017 at Lindberg Crossing after an extended illness.
She was born March 30, 1940 in Burkesville, Kentucky, the daughter of John Will and Pearl (Anderson) Parrish.
She was a homemaker, Avon lady and bowler. She loved to travel, especially on cruises. She liked to do crafts, collect crystal and she was a member of the euchre club.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry Hiatt of Anderson whom she married in Muncie on May 16, 1959; five children, Phil (Stan Mock) Hiatt of Noblesville, Richard (Penny) Hiatt of Muncie; Steven (Tosha) Hiatt of Frankton; Donald Hiatt (Adrienne Meyer) of Punta Gorda, FL; and Brendie Turner of Anderson; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Leslie Hiatt, grandson, Jordon Hiatt, seven siblings, Preston and Billy Parrish, Lillia Mae Fletcher, Marion Hagen, Imogene Garrett, Louise Wallace and Betty Chandler.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 19 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Chris Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
