Sharon Kay (MacElroy) Weiss, 59, of Hopedale, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of Richard J. Weiss for the past 24 years.
Born in Lowell on March 22, 1958, she was the daughter of Betty F. (Gorham) MacElroy of Florida and the late Robert B. MacElroy.
Sharon was a resident of Hopedale for the past 22 years and enjoyed working as a design consultant.
She was very talented at and enjoyed repurposing used goods and antiques. Sharon was also a very passionate pet owner with thirteen cats.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a her brother Robert MacElroy of Kentucky, two half-sisters, Kaurie MacElroy of Haverhill and Kristen Hickey of Plymouth and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, October 21 from 9 a.m. - noon in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral service at noon.
