It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nils Gustav Hallquist Jr. (Gus) on October 13, 2017, at Medway Country Manor at the age of 84.

Gus is predeceased by his first wife, Marilyn (Murphy) and his parents, Ranghild and Nils Hallquist Sr. He is survived by his second wife Patricia (Classon).
Gus was born March 21, 1933 in Brockton, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Brockton High School in 1951 and spent a year at Thayer Academy Prep School. After graduation Gus immediately enlisted in the Navy and went on to study Mechanical Engineering stationed in Tulsa, OK. In 1955 he met his first wife Marilyn whom he later married in 1957. After Gus’s honorable discharge from the Navy they relocated to Brockton, MA where Gus began working for Eastern Airlines and then later began a career at Polaroid as a Mechanical Engineer until the early 1990’s when he retired. He loved spending time in North Conway, NH skiing and spending time with his family and friends. He had great talent in woodworking and built his own winter chalet in North Conway.
