Margaret A. “Peggy” (McDonald) Yapp 74, of Franklin, died peacefully, Saturday Oct. 14, 2017 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Westborough, following an illness.
Born September 12, 1943 in Portland, Maine a daughter of the late Richard G. and Margaret E. (Skillin) McDonald, she was a former resident of Swampscott before moving to Franklin over 17 years ago.
She was raised in Portland, Maine and was a 1963 graduate of Framingham South High School. Peggy worked as a nurse’s aide and also as an administrative assistant for Consult Ware.
She loved her family, cooking, traveling, attending jazz festivals, watching jeopardy, and casino trips.
She is survived by her children, William Yapp and his wife Amy of Stow, George Yapp and his wife Sue of Leominster, and Jennifer Yapp of North Andover, her siblings, Cindy Manna of Medway, Patrice Wozniak of Bellingham, Madeline Keeley of Franklin, Jennifer McDonald of Tucson, Arizona, Kitty Ott and her husband Mark of Sandwich, Barbara Rossi and her husband Mike of Woonsocket, Laurie Oliver and her husband Tom of Clearwater, Florida, Susan McDonald of Kinston, North Carolina, Charlie McDonald and his wife Donna of Kinston, North Carolina, Richard McDonald of Maine, Beth Kirby and her late husband Robert of Kinston, North Carolina, and Ellen Frost and her late husband Charles of Bridgeton, Maine and her longtime companion Donald Goldman.
Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Danny, Christopher, Savanah, McKenzie and Finn Yapp along with many nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Sunday Oct. 22nd at 2PM in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Interment will be held privately.
There are no calling hours.
