Benjamin York Salley, III

Benjamin York Salley, III, age 70, of Mansfield, formerly of Norton, Attleboro and Rehoboth passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Wingate at Norton.

Born in Attleboro, MA January 30, 1947, he was a son of the late Benjamin Y. Salley, Jr. and Mabel (Harden) Kieltyka.

Ben grew up in Rehoboth and Attleboro. He was a graduate of Attleboro High School. He furthered his studies and was a graduate of Fisher Junior College. During the time of the Vietnam War, Ben honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Mr. Salley had worked in retail for the former W.T. Grant Department Store in North Attleboro. His favorite hobby was photography, and he also enjoyed fishing, bike riding and hiking.

He was the brother of the late Barbara Miller and Robert Boyle, Jr. He is survived by his sister-in-law Janet Boyle, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends alike.

His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Rehoboth.

Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, prior to the services, beginning at 9:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
