NEILL, Carolyn “Lynn” Hurley Of Lowell formerly of Dedham, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 12, 2017 in her home in Lowell. She was born in Boston on January 26, 1962 to James and Patricia Hurley.
Lynn attended Dedham High School and went on to have a successful career in telecommunications until health issues forced her to retire. She married David Olsen in 1982 and had 3 children, David Jr, Matthew, and Katherine. They later divorced and Lynn remarried in 1996 to Daniel Neill and had 1 child, Carolyn.
Lynn is survived by her mother, Patricia Hurley of Foxborough; children David Olsen, Jr. of Woburn, Matthew Olsen and his wife Michelle of Burlington, Katherine Olsen of Dedham, and Carolyn Neill of Bridgewater; sisters Karen Hurley of Methuen, Maureen Hurley and her wife Mary Ann O’Hara of Dedham, and Kimberley Hurley of Trumbull, CT; grandmother Ursula Mitchell of Gloucester; granddaughter Hailey Olsen, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lynn is preceded in death by her father James Hurley of West Chester, PA, her brother James Hurley, Jr., and her grandfather D. Albert Mitchell of Gloucester.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Monday, Oct. 16 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home Sunday, Oct. 15 from 4-8pm. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lynn's memory to The Lowell House Inc., 555 Merrimack St., Lowell, MA 01854.
