Rev. Paul A. Lavigne, 67, of Jefferson, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday October 11, 2017. He was born in Berlin, the son of the late Alexis & Rita (Croteau) Lavigne. A graduate of Notre Dame High School, the University of New Hampshire, and attended seminary at the Berean Institute. Paul served in the New Hampshire Army National Guard for six years. Paul had been in ministry for over 30 years, living most of his life in New Hampshire but had spent time in Maine and Quebec where he served local churches. Paul participated in numerous humanitarian efforts including multiple trips to Haiti. Paul enjoyed playing hockey, enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, carpentry, an avid reader and was an Eagle Scout. Paul loved people, he gave of his time selflessly, his absence will be deeply felt throughout the community.
Members of the family include his wife Terry (Roberts) Lavigne of Jefferson, children Wesley Lavigne and wife Kimberly of Mapleton, ME, Christopher Lavigne of Plymouth, NH, Rosanna Lavigne of Gorham, NH, Grace Lavigne of Chicago, IL, Samuel Lavigne and wife Hannah of Lynchburg, VA, Jesse Lavigne of Nashville, TN, Annleah Lavigne of Jefferson, NH, Valerie Lavigne of Jefferson, NH. 7 Grandchildren. Sister Rachel Mercier and husband Tim of Windham, ME as well as his extended family. He was predeceased by his first wife Linda J. Lavigne.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at 11am at the Riverside Assembly of God, Main Street, Gorham with interment to follow at the Kilkenney View Cemetery in Jefferson. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the church. Donations in Pastor Lavigne’s memory can be made to the Riverside Assembly of God, 450 Main Street, Gorham, NH 03581. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin and Gorham, NH.
