Julia C. (Giallonardo) Pecci-Parchesky 99, of Franklin, died peacefully, Monday October 9, 2017 at Milford Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Pecci, who died in 1973 and the late Felix Parchesky, who died in 1991.
Born December 1, 1917 in Medway a daughter of the late Gregorio and Concetta (Cercone) Giallonardo, she was a resident of Franklin since 1937.
Julia was raised and educated in Medway and was the former owner of Pecci Cleaners. She also worked as a seamstress for TLC Cleaners until she was 92.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren, was an avid Red Sox fan, and was a member of St. Mary’s Church and it’s Catholic Women’s Club, and the Franklin Sons of Italy. She was a former member of the Franklin Lioness Club.
Julia is survived by her children, Anthony J. Pecci and his wife Cherie of Franklin, Joan M. Geer and her husband Lou of Franklin and Barbara A. Razzano and her husband Mike of Boynton Beach, Florida, a sister Celia Pasquarosa of Franklin. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Stephen Geer, Julianne McDonnell, Lori Martel, Michael Razzano, Marissa Varney, Kristen Pecci, Jared Pecci, Lynn Pecci and 11 great grandchildren.
She is the sister of the late Gene, William, Benny, Orlando, & Francis Giallonardo, Lena Nordstrom, Anna Yadisernia and Mary Bertoni.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday Oct. 13th at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square at 10AM.
Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Thursday from 4-8PM.
