It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernest (Ernie) Hiltz on August 11, 2017 at Milford Regional Hospital, at the age of 70 years.
Ernie was a beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sorely missed by his children Doug, Bob and Shelby; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ernie is predeceased by his Wife Sandy, Mother Dolly, Father Sandrew , Brother Garnett, Brother Doug. He is survived by his siblings Doris, Becky, Gertie, Rose, Sherwin, Danny and David.
Ernie was born in Kentville, Nova Scotia and moved to Bellingham, Massachusetts in 1965. He loved spending time with family in addition to working on his vehicles and fishing. Ernie owned and operated Hiltz Welding, Bellingham, MA since approx 1968. Ernie will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
A private funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery in Medway, MA where he was laid to rest next to his wife. A Celebration of Life will be held in October where family and friends will celebrate his incredible legacy.
